A-10 BRI Online!
(Briefing Room Interactive)
Client: Davis-Monthan Air Force Base
BRI Online! is a very large intranet Web site designed to support the training of combat pilots. Originally, planned use of BRI Online! was limited to the briefing between the instructor pilot and his/her student immediately before flying. The instructor was the only planned user.
It became evident that BRI Online! could also be used as a study aid and general technical resource. The student became an important user. Since BRI Online! is available to anyone with access to the base network, it was always readily available.
Our efforts on the Davis-Monthan A-10 BRI project earned our team the Air Force Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award.
Note: The screenshots in this section are from the BRI before I left that team for supposedly greener pastures. If you get a chance (I'm talking to you military folks) to stop by Davis-Monthan AFB, make a point of checking out what has been done to BRI since I left. They've been doing awesome work.

I'll just give some screenshots on the following pages. Most of the graphic concepts were lifted directly from things the pilots would recognize: rivets, oxygen canisters, briefing room doors, etc.
