Steiger Executive Stone-Setter's Workbench

My client (the Steiger reference) was the primary designer of this specialized jeweler's bench. I supplied some refinements to the design (my jewelry background helped quite a bit). If you are a jeweler, you'll probably notice that it is much lower than a standard jeweler's bench. It has been designed to accommodate a binocular microscope for stone setting and wax carving. This forces the bench to a lower position.

Cherry, cherry veneered panels, and baltic birch plywood. Cabinets are shellacked and waxed. Butcher-block surfaces are varnished.
