Microscope Slot Detail

The heavy base of the microscope rests on the lower center shelf. Its post sticks up through the U-shaped cutout and a boom holds the eyepiece over the front of the bench.

Cherry, cherry veneered panels, and baltic birch plywood. Cabinets are shellacked and waxed. Butcher-block surfaces are varnished.
