I admit the interface is a bit odd here (and in some other areas). It was decided that the Editor should be as compatible with SmartBoard technology as possible. This means that a computer keyboard would probably not be easily accessible to the user. All selections needed to be done with as few mouse-clicks as possible (saving a single click was a BIG deal to our targeted customer). I was able to get required clicks down to three for the Timeline: First Month, First Year, and Months to Span.
